SESSION ‘RULES’!

  • All sessions are led and will largely be shaped in terms of tempo and repertoire by those leading them. They’re all friendly but they do make the rules and have full say over who starts tunes etc.

  • The bars have to make money and the audience has to enjoy the music so these are NOT workshops. Luckily we have workshops too in the morning!

  • Please spend money in the bars. They are all businesses so nursing a pint of water for three hours may result in slightly negative relations with bar staff.

  • Accompaniment / Percussion - Please don’t drown out the tunes. If there are multiple guitarists or percussionists then please take turns and be aware that there are lots of sessions to choose from. Do not be offended if lead musicians advise you to slow down / keep up or occasionally stop!

  • Have fun!
